Holterman’s groundbreaking Lady Fleur nominated in the World Superyacht Awards

Holterman's genre-defying superyacht Lady Fleur has been shortlisted as a finalist at the prestigious World Superyacht Awards, to be judged in May.  

The 32m X-Treme 105 is fresh from winning two categories at the Design & Innovation Awards, held in Cortina in February. Now she has made the cut for the world's premier recognition of excellence in superyacht design.  

Lady Fleur features a totally unique aft deck, whose central section can lower to effortlessly recover the tender from the water. The design makes it possible to carry a custom craft up to 11m.
What's more, the deck can quickly convert into a swimming pool once the tender is launched. Alongside rigorous engineering and extremely high interior finish quality, these characteristics make the X-Treme 105 a totally unique proposition.  

Holterman is the boutique Dutch shipyard behind the design, which was jointly conceived with Bernd Weel on the exterior and Diana Naval Architects.  

The yard is a family-owned concern which began in the 1960s by building comfortable launches for the local market. Now owned by the second generation, the yard has branched out into 20m-plus superyacht-quality launches, and recently debuted the X-Treme line.
With models that run from 54ft to 105ft, X-Treme marks a radical shift towards a more contemporary, flexible style of yacht. Holterman's willingness to customise remains as strong as ever, just as the welcome at the yard is always warm.  

All eyes now turn to the judging of the World Superyacht Awards, whose panel is drawn from among the most prestigious and experienced names in the industry. Winners will be announced at a glitzy ceremony on 19-20 May in Istanbul, Turkey.
“We knew we were doing something original as we developed the X-Treme 105,” says yard owner Robbert Holterman. “But when you go this far off-piste, you can never be sure how long the world will follow you.  

“Well, the two Design Awards we've already won answered that question. Now we are waiting with bated breath to hear the winners of the World Superyacht Awards in Turkey. Whatever happens there, I am proud on behalf of all our exceptional workers for the nomination.”
